Vijay Deverakonda: Leonardo DiCaprio of Tollywood

Arjun Reddy is taking south industry by storm. After impressing Ram Gopal Varma, the film has garnered praises from Baahubali film maker SS Rajamouli, Rana Daggubati, Samantha Ruth Pabhu, Krish, KTR and others.  Recently RGV compared Arjun Reddy actor Vijay Deverakonda with the  stellar performer Power Star Pawan Kalyan. In fact, Ramu claimed  Vijay? is 10 times better than the Power Star. Now RGV is comparing the young star with none other than Leonardo DiCaprio- An American actor, film producer, and environmental activist, after watching the bold drama for the 2nd time. He took to face book and wrote, “I saw Arjun Reddy movie once again and I have no doubt that Vijay Deverakonda is the Leonardo DiCaprio of our film industry. I just hope and wish he will use this stardom to overturn our current standards of film making and destroy them like how Caprio did with Hollywood instead of succumbing to conventional formulaic films like how other stars did and are doing ...The truth is that it's a non conventional non formulaic film which made him a super star.” Earlier, RGV  described Vijay Devarakonda as the Real Power Star and also called him first Mega Star of Telangana State.

On the other side, Senior Congress leader and former MP V Hanumantha Rao triggered controversy over Arjun Reddy once again on Tuesday, after he asked Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to watch the movie and issue orders to stop its screening all over Telangana. VH claimed that the film was encouraging drug use, and also showing a doctor treating patients in an inebriated condition. Arjun Reddy  is giving a wrong message to the people. In this film, a girl becomes pregnant as a result of ragging. Hanumantha Rao said that he lodged a complaint with the Film Censor Board demanding ban on the film.

Arjun Reddy is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanda and produced by Pranay Reddy Vanga.  Shalini Pandey is playing the female lead and  the film was released on 25th August 2017.
