Women should openly talk about periods - Tapsee

These days actresses have been working hard to bring out the taboo issues that women face daily. With the raise in the feminist ideology, the upliftment of women has found many voices and actresses joining the moment to support the cause that they think is important. Deepika, Priyanka, Kangana and many others have started such campaigns and latest entrant to this list is Tapsee Pannu. 

She participated in the Sanitary Awareness Education programme conducted by IIT Mumbai students. She will soon distribute Sanitary pads to rural women as part of the awareness programme. " Women menstruation is not a taboo topic and I don't understand why people treat it like that. We should be able to openly talk about Periods and this is one of the kind of natural problem that they face. I see many hiding it and talking in code languages. May be due to this they are many health issues spreading out as well, " said Tapsee

Tapsee said, "Only when there is discussion and debate about health issues, women will be able understand the real health hazards otherwise even the natural problems begin to look too serious like we are experiencing now. " Well, it is good that actresses are taking more responsibility these days!
