On the work side, at present he is occupied in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's up and coming prestigious venture "Padmavati" featuring Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in which he is playing Alauddin Khilji. It is mutually created by Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures.
