Dharma Yogi Movie Story :
The story revolves around two guys who looks same. One is of educator boy named Anbu (Dhanush) and the other is a legislator named Kodi  (Dhanush) . Rudra ( Trisha Krishnan ) is a politician who is the love interest of Kodi, while another girl named Malathy (Anupama Parameswaran) likes the Rishi. A nuclear plant project starts near a village, which leads to a destruction of the village and the lives of the people who works in the plant. To avoid this destruction, Kodi and Rishi will stop the plant construction in the village through their acts. Who are back of this plant construction ? Does the plant is ultimately built or not ? forms the rest story.

Dhanush is trailing for a hit since his last two films-Thanga Magan and Thodari which are not up to the mark. For every movie, he plays unique roles in which he just lives in the character. Now Dhanush has high expectations on ‘Kodi’ film which also releasing Telugu as ‘Dharma Yogi’.
Performances : As expected, the major plus point  of the movie is Dhanush himself.  His impulsive performance in the dual role  and his terrific screen presence in both the roles manage to enthrall the audience big time. The bearded Dhanush exudes mass in each frame and the clean shaven Dhanush attracts a class audience. Trisha does well within her limitations. Though she hadn’t looked great, she excelled her performance in the negative role. Anupama Parameswaran gave the best performance by her role. Remaining characters performed well in their roles
Analysis : The music by Santhosh Narayanan is average as no tune is so catchy in Telugu. Screenplay director seems to have done an apt job , while dialogue writer entertains the audience to an extent with his quirky one-liners.  The screenplay could be said as the major highlight of the movie as it took the movie to the next level. Another plus point is the superb camera work which elevates a few scenes quite nicely.
But except this things , everything falters in this film as narration by director failed totally to entertain the audience. The film is a badly written with too much lag in the movie  that fails to engage the audience. The narration lacks any significant twists or turns and the characterization is equally bad.  Even run time is the huge minus, as editing could have been far better. And the main thing that irritates Telugu audience is the translation of dialogues and dubbing that must have taken a lot of care.
Plus points :
Dhanush Performance,
Trisha role,
Story,
Screenplay.
Minus points :
Narration,
Music.
Verdict : Though movie would be loved by Dhanush fans, it stands only as average  flick for the normal audience.
Final word : The Political thriller with perfect screenplay.
